No database holds your account. Just a room in our light town, kept for you.
A room of your own. Choose a username, or use an email so we can help you recover it.
Welcome back to your room.
Your journals are encrypted and held by a UK-registered company, legally responsible under UK law.

This service is operated by Atrb Services Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom under company number 17226687. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can reach us at town@atrb.uk.
We collect the minimum we need to run the service. Depending on how you sign up, this is:
We do not use cookies, analytics, tracking, or any third-party tools. We do not collect your name, location, or device fingerprint. If you sign up with a username instead of an email, we hold no way to contact you, and account recovery may not be possible.
We use your data only to provide and maintain your journaling room, to keep your account secure, to respond to your requests, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising. We have no advertising on this service.
We process your data on the basis of providing the service you have asked for, your consent where it applies, and our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe. You can withdraw consent at any time by closing your account.
Your journal content is encrypted at rest. This protects it against unauthorised access to our storage. Because we manage the encryption so that we can help you recover your account, it is technically possible for us to access content when strictly necessary to run or secure the service. We do not read your journals as a matter of routine, and we never do so for advertising or profiling. No method of storage is completely secure, so while we take protection seriously, we cannot promise absolute security.
We can only ever disclose the data we actually hold. If we are required by valid UK legal process to provide information, we can supply your identifier and account dates, and, where the law compels it, your stored content. We hold no marketing profiles, browsing history, or third-party data, because we never collect any.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and request a copy of it. To exercise any of these, email us at town@atrb.uk and we will respond within the time the law allows. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
This service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us at town@atrb.uk and we will remove it.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
